This is the second Capriccio for the five-string violin, and it leans toward the virtuoso side. It includes a lot of double stops, spans five positions, and features some pretty tricky but well thought through jumps. I tried to make it as complex yet logical as possible all at once. Honestly, I struggled to study it myself, but after dedicating a few months to it and making the final recording, I feel that it enhanced my technique significantly.

In 2020, I released a book of five warm-up exercises for the five-string violin. The idea was to create material that allows a comfortable transition from a four-string to a five-string instrument. Ever since, I've wanted to continue researching the possibilities of the five-string violin and creating more music for it. This Capriccio is another step in this direction!
